Welcome to HCPilates, situated in the picturesque town of Largs with classes and workshops throughout North Ayrshire and Inverclyde .My mission is to provide a nurturing environment where individuals can explore the transformative power of Pilates. I've been doing pilates with Helen for a few years now. she is a really brilliant teacher. She changes up the class each week so we don't get bored and gets the right balance of pushing us on good technique so you can really feel the effect. she does it all with a great sense of humour which makes the classes great fun and totally no threatening for newcomers. I really feel the improvement in how straightened out I feel after a class.

I know that Helen is a great teacher as I have practiced under her instruction off and on for at least 20 years.  I absolutely love my class time where Helen shows us how to take care of our spine, neck,  tummies and feet.  We always walk out of class feeling refreshed.  Helen is an expert and I am lucky to have found her so many years ago.  Helen gives each of us her individual attention and her observational skills are quite amazing.  I have returned after a long break and it is comforting to know that I have her full support in getting back on track.  Class with Helen is a magical time and a chance to re-charge and slow down.

I have been attending Helen’s class for over a year now. It’s now one of the best parts of my week. Time to relax the mind and switch off while getting a really fantastic workout .  Helen is extremely patient, knowledgeable and able to adapt to all levels. And we always have a laugh. .Helen is an excellent teacher of Pilates and makes each session very interesting and fun. Every movement is fully explained for beginners through to advanced students. We use Pilates equipment which makes the movements as challenging as you want them to be. Helen continually checks we are doing the movements correctly. She has a great sense of humour and we always have a laugh whilst being serious about the exercises. Highly recommend Helen's classes.

Helen is an exceptionally talented and highly professional instructor. She is passionate about Pilates and has a great rapport with her students and a good sense of humour which makes for a fun time.

In class Helen demonstrates the exercises while explaining the movements in detail, together with options according to individual ability As we perform an exercise she circulates the room correcting where necessary, suggesting adaptations and offering encouragement. We also incorporate different equipment into our practice for variety and to challenge ourselves.

Thanks to Helen, I have improved my posture ,balance, physical strength and flexibility.

.I’ve been going to Helen’s Pilates classes for 9 months now, both live and Zoom. Helen is your ideal teacher- knowledgeable, passionate about her subject and tailors her lessons to her pupils’ needs and levels of ability. She also has a sense of humour! There is the right balance of demonstration, explanation and correction, always mixed with loads of encouragement. Since going to her classes, I feel much stronger and more toned, while my posture is much better. And I feel much more relaxed at the end of a session.
